There are probably already a good number of Aberdeenshire DofE participants volunteering at Barnardo’s, who is now an Approved Activity Provider for the DofE Volunteering section. Participants can volunteer in a shop, work directly with children and young people, or become a fundraiser or student volunteer. As an AAP, DofE Leaders and participants can be certain that participants will receive a quality volunteering experience with Barnardo’s that meets the criteria of the DofE Volunteering section. Unlike many other charities, Barnardo’s allows 14/15 year olds to volunteer in their charity shops.
